Sun dial installed at outbreak of WWI by Class of 1921 “count none but the sunny days.” Bryan Hall served as social center of campus through the 1920s. All students had to send telegrams and receive packages in Bryan Hall. Only resident hall with a parlor, all social calls happened there. Fire in 1928 (conflict with other source). Hall not named for Senator William James Bryan until 1932. Major renovations begun in 1949 after severe thunderstorm caused roof collapse. New foundations laid, skylight in parlor covered.
