About
This site gathers together primary source materials related to student housing history at Florida State University, including its predecessors Florida State College and Florida State College for Women. The main focus is on students’ social experiences. Included are photographs, newspaper articles, oral histories, social media posts, and YouTube videos. We organized the materials by residence halls (a.k.a. dorms for those of a different era). There are materials on student housing that was demolished as well as the University’s newest structures.
